Growing up in Ostrander, a small town in Central Ohio, Ben always dreamed of one day playing golf on the PGA Tour. He was enamored by the game since the first time he held a club at age 3. His family lived just behind the 18th green of Mill Creek Golf Club, a public course that his grandfather built. To this day, his parents still work there – dad is the course superintendent and mom works in the pro shop.

Curtis attended Kent State University on a golf scholarship. There  he was a 3-time All-American and a semifinalist at the 1999 U.S. Amateur at Pebble Beach.


Ben's dream of playing on tour became reality late in 2002 after he earned his tour card through Q-School. Just a short time after, Curtis played in and won the 2003 Open Championship at Royal St. Georges Golf Club in Sandwich, England – one of the biggest tournaments in the world. 2003 was a pretty great year for Curtis. A solid start to his professional golf career earned him PGA Tour Rookie of the Year, and in August, he married his amazing wife, Candace, while playing at the Bridgestone Invitational in Akron, Ohio. Curtis went on to win three more PGA Tour events in my career, and had the great honor of representing Team USA as they won the 2008 Ryder Cup.

After retiring from golf on the PGA Tour, Ben started the Ben Curtis Golf Academy at The Country Club of Hudson in Hudson, Ohio. He’s found a new passion in teaching children and preparing the golfers of our future. Following his passion for wine, he created a red blend, the Ben Curtis Cuvee, as well as a chardonnay through his exclusive label Fairway & Vines. Both are made by Rich Parducci, a fifth generation wine maker at McNab Ridge Winery in Mendocino County, just north of Napa Valley in California. A portion of the proceeds for every bottle sold goes back to the Ben Curtis Family Foundation, to help children in need in Portage and Summit counties

Luke Taylor

Tennis was Luke's first love as he would follow his dad to the tennis courts hitting ball after ball against the wall. Taylor would eventually become a nationally and world ranked junior player. Luke attended the University of Illinois at Chicago on a tennis scholarship. After graduating with a BA in Communications, Taylor was an on-air personality for Fox News/Sports and also Sportsnet back home in Canada. After a three year stint working in broadcating, Luke returned to college and obtained his MA in Public Relations and Advertising from DePaul University while coaching the nationally ranked men's tennis team. Unlike Ben, Taylor was no All-American or Scholar Athlete (Ben wasn't a scholar either).

Funny thing is that Luke grew up in Oakville, Ontario, Canada where it is home of the Royal Canadian Golf Assn. along with being for years the permanent home of the Bell Canadian Open which he has never attended. Taylor played a little golf here and there.

After getting out of tennis after being one of the partners of Paramount Tennis Club. Taylor caught the golf bug badly. 

Taylor is currently an avid well-dressed golfer, a proud father of three and Principal of Traderman Wine Distributors, the premier Ohio boutique wine distributorship specializing in Napa and Sonoma wines. Luke is also the host of two other podcasts - Cork & Taylor Wine Podcast and Cork & Fork : A Northeastern Ohio Food & Beverage Experience Podcast. Taylor also runs Cork & Taylor which is not only a podcast but a boutique style wine tour and travel company where he takes small private groups yearly to wine country for a unique and behind the scenes wine trip.
